Charlie Bettigole, director of the GIS Center for Interdisciplinary Research, Kris Covey, assistant professor of environmental studies and sciences, and alumni Zoe Pagliaro '20, Shay Kolodney '21, Sylvana Szuhay '22, Eli Hersh '20, and Miles Chandler '20, "Optimizing Sampling Strategies for Near-Surface Soil Carbon Inventory: One Size Doesn鈥檛 Fit All" in Soil Systems. The study analyzes soil carbon data collected on four farms in the eastern United States and suggests new approaches for soil sampling in agricultural landscapes. 超级吊钟奶students were involved in all stages of the project, from data collection to coding and data analysis.
